D. Edgard A. Cabangon is the chairman of the ALC Group of Companies, a conglomerate of companies belonging to various industries including media, insurance, pre-need, banking and finance, hotel and restaurants, real estate development and property management, and memorial care.

Born on April 9, 1964 to ALC Group founder Ambassador Antonio L. Cabangon Chua and his wife Bienvenida Angeles Cabangon, Edgard is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing from the De La Salle University.

After earning his BSBA degree, he proceeded to study law at the University of Santo Tomas to fulfill his dream. However, he had an early calling to become a business leader, and had to leave law school to start his training under the mentorship of his father.

His extensive experience as a business leader had a humble beginning when he worked as a gas station attendant in the United States. It was then that he learned the value of hard work and how important it is to stay focused on all aspects of a company’s operation.
